America's Run for the Fallen

The America’s Run for the Fallen team will blaze a tribute trail across our nation, covering 5 months spanning over 6000 miles from San Diego to Arlington National Cemetery, recognizing nearly 20,000 fallen service members since the USS Cole. In one of the most comprehensive tributes ever organized this run will honor every service member who died while serving or as a result of serving since October 12, 2000. Calling each hero’s name out loud mile after mile, every stop will represent a unique chronological date of death. The men and women being honored include every service member who died during the War on Terror while on active duty or as a result of active duty, including all branches of service and all causes of death.

You may join us for the physical run across the nation between April 7 through August 5, 2018 but you can support this cause now by participating virtually. Simply register here and then run or walk a 5k, 10k, or Half Marathon whenever and wherever you want. As a thank you for your support, we will mail you an official America’s Run for the Fallen dry fit race shirt and finisher medal. Shirts and medals will be mailed when you register (not after you submit your results), in case you’d like to wear the shirt for your run to help spread awareness for this amazing tribute that will take place in 2018.

The Charity

The mission of Honor and Remember is to perpetually recognize the sacrifice of America’s military fallen heroes and their families. The organization pays tribute to all military lives lost, not only while serving on active duty but also as a result of serving. Military deaths in all wars or conflicts and all branches of service from our nation’s inception are recognized.

One of the primary vehicles for perpetual recognition is the Run for the Fallen Initiatives. These yearly statewide events enable hundreds to participate in an apolitical expression of appreciation, running consecutive miles and calling aloud every local hero name. The year 2018 marks their 10th anniversary and enables a once in a lifetime opportunity with a unique tribute, calling out loud the name of every fallen service member since October 12, 2000. Each mile recognizing the sacrifice of individual heroes and their families during the nationwide America’s Run for the Fallen. Visit RunForTheFallen.org to locate any hero’s name and place of tribute.

Virtual Strides Partner Event: This event is part of the Virtual Strides Partners Program. Honor and Remember will receive 100% of the net proceeds from this event after Virtual Strides’ partner costs are deducted.
